The engagement was flagged off in Sandamu Local Government Area Council and will be extended to all 34 Local Government Councils in the state.
The Executive Chairman of the Service, Alh. Mohammed Isyaku in his remark delivered by the Executive Director of Corporate Services, Hon. Murtala Muhammad Kankara stated that, the Central Billing System was introduced to simplify revenue collection and ensure accountability in the State Revenue administration.
“The central billing was introduced to eliminate leakages in revenue generation and build confidence of taxpayers’ as well as ensuring all revenue payments goes directly to the government consolidated revenue account”


The Executive Chairman equally stated that, the service has developed resource materials on its corporate website (https://irs.kt.gov.ng), introduced self-service links where Tax Identification Numbers can be generated, and pamphlets in both English and Hausa languages to educate taxpayers on the Central Billing System.
The Executive Director Digital Modernisation Alh. Kabir Isa Fago explained that the system is robust, easy to use and boost internally generated revenue by reducing leakages and dependence on Federal Allocation.

The Executive Chairman of Sandamu LGA, Hon. Usman Nalado, hosted the programme by mobilising all the Stakeholders within the Local Government including traditional and religious leaders, Trade unions and Associations, residents and members of Sandamu Local Communities. The Chairman described the initiative as a major step forward towards sustainable revenue generation and accountability.
The event was attended by youth groups, transport unions, women leaders, and traditional rulers.
