Steps to Obtain a Tax Identification Number (TIN)

  1. Visit TIN Verification Portal to search for your TIN by providing your BVN and Date of Birth.
  2. If your TIN is not found, go to the TIN Registration Portal to register for a TIN.
  3. Select the "Register for TIN" option and follow the instructions.
  4. Fill in the requested information and submit the form.
  5. Print or download your TIN Certificate once issued.
  6. Submit your TIN Certificate to the nearest Area Revenue Office for documentation.

Steps to Register a Motor Vehicle Within Katsina (Nigeria)

  1. Obtain an allocation of plate number form from the State Internal Revenue/Motor Licensing Authority (KTIRS/MLA) and fill it out. (Ensure that this form is obtained from approved MLA centers across the state).
  2. Provide all necessary supporting documents, such as:
    • Purchase receipt
    • Purchase invoice
    • Customs Duty Certificate
    • Sales agreement (in case of change of ownership)
  3. Submit the completed form to any approved MLA registration center for processing.
  4. Provide evidence of payments on the invoice received from the approved MLA center.
  5. The processed plate number with particulars will be issued within 24 hours of the application.

Steps to Register a Motorcycle Within Katsina (Nigeria)

  3. The processed vehicle particulars will be issued within business hours of the day.

Steps to Obtain a New National Driver’s License (Motor Vehicle/Motorcycle)

  1. Provide a Driving School Certificate from an accredited driving school.
  2. Obtain a Learner’s Permit (ML16) and Driving Test (ML20) from any approved MLA center.
  3. Apply at Driver’s License Portal or visit a Driver’s License Center.
  4. Submit evidence of payment and application form to MLA for processing.
  5. Receive a temporary Driver’s License within seven (7) working days.
  6. The original Driver’s License will be issued within sixty (60) days.

Steps to Renew a National Driver’s License

  1. Provide the expired National Driver’s License.
  2. Renew at Driver’s License Portal or at a Driver’s License Center.
  3. Present the acknowledgment slip after payment for license renewal.
  4. A temporary Driver’s License will be issued within seven (7) working days. The original will be ready within sixty (60) days.
Note: For licenses expired for more than six (6) months, a driving test (ML20) is required.
